The menu here is a flavorful ode to the culinary delights of the region, and you’ll want to ensure you indulge in something featuring Asadero cheese, a local specialty famed for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and creaminess. A standout dish is the chorizo quesadilla, which is not only generous in portion but also bursting with flavor that will surely make you rejoice in every bite. Customers rave about how the chorizo pairs perfectly with the soft quesadilla, creating a symphony of savory satisfaction. And if you arrive with an appetite, you're in for a treat—Alonso Sanchez emphasizes that the portions are big enough to satisfy even the heartiest of eaters!

Cleanliness is a top priority here, as the well-maintained restrooms and the overall tidy setting reflect their commitment to providing a pleasant dining experience.

Don’t overlook the carne desebrada, a dish that draws raves from locals and visitors alike. This shredded beef, grilled to perfection, is complemented with the luscious Asadero cheese and a touch of grilled onions and peppers—a simple yet effective combination that captures the essence of authentic Mexican fare. Walt Barbier captures its appeal succinctly, declaring it "very good authentic Mexican food in a town known for its burritos." Pair your meal with one of the many local or name-brand soft drinks available, and you have a feast that is sure to satisfy.

In summary, Restaurante El Paisano is not just a restaurant; it is an experience. A perfect blend of traditional dishes, welcoming service, and a family-friendly atmosphere, all set in the heart of Miguel Ahumada. Make sure you get something withbl Asadero cheese. This region is famous for it. I had the chorizo quesadilla, make sure you're hungry. The portions are big.

Service was great! The waitresses were very patient with our screaming kids that were really excited to be out of our van. The food was good too. They take Visa and MasterCard. The place was very clean. The bathrooms were well stocked and clean. I would recommend this place to anyone. Definitely family friendly.

This is very good authentic Mexican food in a town known for its burritos and asadero cheese. I love the carne desebrada (shredded boiled beef cooked up and browned a bit on a solid grill) con asadero ( a soft supple white cheese) a la Mexicana (just enough chopped and grilled up onions and peppers to make it warm, but not hot.) They have a wide variety of local and name brand soft drinks. I don't know if they sell beer, as I don't drink, but it's no bar, it has a nice small town atmosphere with local regulars and many travelers. I also love their burritos con huevos revueltos con asadero a la Mexicana. Their lunch specials are good, especially their own soups. Simple delicious fare... If you're headed to Chihuahua City buy an extra burrito to go for supper. But don't try to bring one into El Paso, or at least declare it. Get a packet if their caramelized pecans to go too.

This place is really good! I think their prices are high but yet I still make it my stopping point for food between Ciudad Juárez and Chihuahua City. It's just plain Mexican food, but it's always fresh, and delicious. The staff is always very courteous and available. The place is very clean too.
